Hawaii to leave the Union?

Stumbling around the post-election net looking in all the political cracks and dark alleys I found an intresting site. The site claims that the U.S. is illegaly occupying the Islands that make up the only state that is entirely surrounded by water. The site contains information to support their claim and even displays a quote from the current governor given in his 1998 state of the state address.

"The recovery of Hawaiian self-determination is not only an issue for Hawaii, but for America. ... let all of us, Hawaiian and non-Hawaiian, work toward a common goal. Let us resolve ... to advance a plan for Hawaiian sovereignty" - Democratic Governor Ben Cayetano

im born and raised in hawaii all my life. yes hawaii was taken by american business people with the help of the federal government and the president back when hawaii wasnt a territorial state.... i dont really care if hawaii leaves the union or not. hawaii was stolen just as the american indians lost their lands too in america too.

This soverignity movement has been going on for decades. The good thing about it, is the movement is non-violent.
